supporting our community
I document so many babes and children every year. And so many of those little ones need life saving care. We are fortunate to have access to two incredible hospitals who care for and save the lives of our littlest loves - the Monash Children's Hospital and the Royal Children's Hospital.
The doctors, nurses and staff at these hospitals give us so much, so every year we hold a fundraiser so we can give back to them and say "thank you".
Together we raise money through a day of mini sessions. Over the years we have raised more than $10,000. I change the location every year so we can have new experiences and new adventures. It's fun and exciting for children (and adults!) and my clients who support the fundraiser every year love it! See the previous years below...

Our first born was in the Royal children’s hospital. Lilah Jane she passed away at 3 weeks old due to a Vascular Malformation, she’s my butterfly. She spent her whole life in the butterfly ward (NICU) at RCH. Born at LRH we quickly realised there was something going on with our baby and at only a few hours old she was flown to The Royal Children’s Hospital, we were lucky enough to stay in the hospital with our baby the whole time she was there thanks to Ronald McDonald House charity. The doctors and nurses there are angels, they never treated Lilah like she was a terminally ill patient. They would make us eat, drink & sleep when we really didn’t want to but definitely needed too. They pushed me to hold her on days where I was so depressed I felt I couldn’t go on. They pushed me to get photos, give her baths, to keep expressing milk for her so I could nourish her body while I still had her here with me & while I couldn’t understand at the time why I would ever want such heartbreaking memories, I understand now and I’m so grateful that they knew what was best for us when I didn’t. I will forever be grateful to The Royal Children’s hospital for everything they did for my beautiful daughter and my husband and I. And now thanks to them and there encouragement I will have photos, handprints, footprints, hand-me-downs and other special memories I will be able share with my second born daughter Aila Louise.
I’ll never be able to fully put into words the effect our time at the RCH had on me or my family but I will always advocate, fundraise or do whatever I can to raise awareness about how important and how special of a place it is.
